Many homeowners are installing kitchen LCD TVs as a way to have some type of entertainment while preparing meals. These small units are ideal for any kitchen and come in a variety of styles that will match any decor. There is no need for the user to be concerned about water damage or the fear of electrocution. These units are designed to be mounted from the top and feature a portable DVD player. The DVD case is mounted underneath the kitchen cabinet where it is out of way and does not take up any counter space. The television screen flips down for viewing and can be flipped back up when not in use.

These units will typically have a built-in antenna. Professional installation may be needed if you want to be able to access cable TV service. A wireless cable box will work but they are illegal in some locations. If you are attempting to establish wireless cable access, only use the boxes provided by your cable company.

These television units come with screens from 15” to 19”. They are about the size of an average laptop computer screen. For anything bigger, the consumer will have to go with a television that stands alone. These will not be equipped with DVD players and are designed to be mounted on the wall. Only a handful of retailers will label this as a kitchen LCD TV. Most kitchen TVs are designed to be mounted under a cabinet.

Many of these kitchen LCD TVs will have a magnetic remote control unit. This can be conveniently hung on the refrigerator door where it will be safe from splashes and splatters.
